Sara Means, LCSW, PMH-C

My interest in maternal mental health began before I became a mother myself, leading me to pursue additional training and certification in the field. When I became a mother, my commitment to this work strengthened, reinforcing my desire to help fill the gaps and provide women with the care they deserve.

Motherhood is a deeply personal experience, and it often has a way of stirring up emotions, patterns, and parts of ourselves we don't always know what to do with. You may find yourself struggling with identity shifts and relationship changes, anxiety or depression, intrusive thoughts, guilt or shame, grief, fertility challenges, or past experiences resurfacing in unexpected ways.

In our work together, we'll move beyond coping with symptoms. We'll explore the experiences that have shaped you and begin healing the roots of patterns that keep you feeling stuck, so you can experience meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy is rooted in connection and depth. I am certified in Perinatal Mental Health and EMDR Therapy, and I primarily integrate EMDR and Ego State Therapy (parts work) into my work with clients. These approaches are highly effective in processing and healing from difficult experiences and patterns that may be keeping you from moving forward.

If you're feeling ready to deepen your connection to yourself, shift patterns, and feel more aligned in how you want to feel and live, I'd love to support you.

Let’s get started.
